
Robert Bowen Suter
Robert B. Suter is a professor in the Department of Biology at Vassar College. He earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Swarthmore College in 1968 and a doctorate in animal behavior from Indiana University in 1977. Apart from studying the locomotion of spiders, Suter has also investigated how some of these creatures uses pheromones to communicate and how certain species identify the prey they have captured by the vibrations transmitted over their webs.
