Helen M. Berman is a Board of Governors Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She is the director of the Protein Data Bank and the Nucleic Acid Database, and past president of the American Crystallographic Association. Her research interests are in structural biology and structural bioinformatics, with special emphasis on protein-nucleic acid interactions
