
Walter Goetz
Walter Goetz received his Ph.D. from the Center for Planetary Science@the University of Copenhagen in 2002. He is a physicist@the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Katlenberg-Lindau, Germany, and a member of the team that developed the robotic-arm camera for the Phoenix lander. He participated full time with the Phoenix primary mission operations@the University of Arizona, Tucson, in 2008, and with the Mars Exploration Rover primary mission operations@the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 2004. He is part of the team developing instruments for the European Space Agency’s upcoming ExoMars rover.
