Victor Y. Pan is a professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Lehman College of the City University of New York and in the CUNY Graduate Center Ph.D. Program in Computer Science. He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from Moscow University and has held visiting research and teaching posts with IBM, the State University of New York at Albany, the Institute for Advanced Study, the International Computer Science Institute, Stanford and Columbia universities, Institute National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique and the University of Pisa. His research interests include the design and analysis of algorithms, algebraic computing, numerical methods, mathematical programming and operations research.
