Michael H. Schiewe received his Ph.D. in 1980 from the University of Washington in Seattle, and he is now the director of salmon science@the Northwest Fisheries Science Center, part of the National Marine Fisheries Service. Schiewe’s research has focused primarily on the impact of human-caused environmental alterations on salmon health and survival.
