Stephen Nowicki is a Bass Fellow and professor of biology, psychology, and neurobiology at Duke University. He is the author of Biology (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Press), a widely used high school textbook, and of more than 100 papers on the function and evolution of animal signals.
