Robert B. Pickering is the Collier-Read Deputy Director for Collections and Education at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming. His research includes the development of non-destructive techniques for determining the authenticity of ancient ceramics, and he combines his studies with the broader educational goals of museums. He has also served as a forensic consultant to medical examiners and is the coauthor of The Use of Forensic Anthropology (CRC Press, 1996).
