Robert Arking

Robert Arking is a professor in the department of biological sciences at Wayne State University. He earned a B.S. in biology from Dickinson College in 1958 and a Ph.D. in biology from Temple University in 1967. His research involves the mechanisms that underlie the onset of senescence in Drosophila. Arking has served in various positions in the Gerontology Society of America, and he is working on the third edition of his Biology of Aging: Observations and Principles.
