Richard Vondrak

Richard R. Vondrak obtained a doctorate in physics and astronomy from Rice University in 1970. After postdoctoral appointments at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and at Rice, he took a position at Stanford Research Institute. He later moved to the Lockheed Palo Alto Research Laboratory, where he served as Director of Space Physics, before joining NASA in 1995 to head the Laboratory for Extraterrestrial Physics at Goddard Space Flight Center.
