Philip Bourne is a professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of California, San Diego, Director of Integrated Biosciences at the San Diego Supercomputer Center and currently president of the International Society for Computational Biology. He has a background in small molecule and protein crystallography. His current interests center around structural bioinformatics and the application of information technology in the quest to understand more about living systems
