Peter L. Galison is Pellegrino University Professor of the History of Science and of Physics@Harvard University. He is the author of several books, including Einstein's Clocks, Poincaré's Maps (W. W. Norton, 2003), and has just finished (with Lorraine Daston) Objectivity, a history of scientific objectivity that will be published by Zone Books in 2007.
