Michael Lynch

Michael Lynch is a professor and the director of graduate studies in the Department of Science and Technology Studies at Cornell University. His books include Truth Machine: The Contentious History of DNA Fingerprinting (University of Chicago Press, 2008), which he coauthored with Simon Cole, Ruth McNally and Kathleen Jordan; Scientific Practice and Ordinary Action: Ethnomethodology and Social Studies of Science (Cambridge University Press, 1993); and Art and Artifact in Laboratory Science: A Study of Shop Work and Shop Talk in a Research Laboratory (Routledge and Kegan Paul, 1985).
