Erik Klemetti is an associate professor of journalism and earth and environmental sciences at Denison University in Ohio. He is a volcanologist who has worked at Mount Hood in Oregon and Lassen Peak in California, as well as in New Zealand and in the high Andes of Chile. He also frequently writes about volcanoes and earth sciences for Discover magazine and other publications.
