Marie Hicks is a historian, author, associate professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology, a 2018–2019 fellow at the National Humanities Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, and author of "Programmed Inequality: How Britain Discarded Women Technologists and Lost Its Edge in Computing."
