Lillian Hoddeson is the Thomas Siebel Distinguished Professor of History of Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is coauthor with Vicki Daitch of True Genius: The Life and Science of John Bardeen (National Academy Press, 2002) and coauthor with Adrienne Kolb and Catherine Westfall of Fermilab: Physics, the Frontier, and the Rise of Megascience (forthcoming from University of Chicago Press).
