Keriayn Smith is an associate professor in the School of Data Science and Society and in the Department of Genetics at the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is also a research scientist for the Renaissance Computing Institute and serves as a codirector for UNC's Discovery Center, which aligns with her research program on products of the noncoding genome, particularly long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs).
