Irving Biederman is the Harold W. Dornsife Professor of Neuroscience in the Departments of Psychology and Computer Science and the director of the Image Understanding Laboratory@the University of Southern California. His current research interests span the domain of visual cognition, with emphasis on the representation of shape for object, face and scene recognition.
