
Henry Schreiber
Henry D. Schreiber is an emeritus professor of chemistry at the Virginia Military Institute, from which he retired this year after 38 years of teaching and research. He received his PhD in physical chemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He has done research on the chemistry of lunar and terrestrial magmas, chemical constraints on the vitrification of nuclear waste, coloration and bubble elimination in commercial glasses, and most recently the development of yellow inflorescences in hydrangeas. In retirement, he continues to research the production of novel colors and fluorescence in floral blooms. E-mail: SchreiberHD@vmi.edu
