Meurig W. Williams is a chemist by training, with B.A. (first-class honors), M.A. and D.Phil. degrees from Oxford University in England, followed by a postdoctoral position@the University of California, Berkeley. His interest in triboelectricity developed during his employment@the Xerox Webster Research Center in New York from 1970 to 1983. He is the holder of 11 U.S. patents, and his multidisciplinary research interests have resulted in publications in a wide range of journals across chemistry and physics.
