George K. Francis is professor of mathematics@the University of Illinois@Urbana-Champaign, senior research scientist@the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, and faculty affiliate of the Beckman Institute. He practices computer graphics to visualize geometry and teaches undergraduates in the Campus Honors Program to do likewise. He is working on The Geometrical Puppetshow, a sequel to A Topological Picturebook (Springer, 1987).
