Gary L Oppliger is an independent exploration geophysics consultant in Reno, Nevada. He earned his Ph.D. in engineering geoscience@the University of California, Berkeley in 1980 and for the past 19 years has worked in the metals exploration industry as a staff research and project geophysicist. His current research interests include the tectonic history of the western U.S. and its relation to gold mineralization.
