Eleanor Robson is a lecturer in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge. She is author of Mesopotamian Mathematics 2100-1600 B.C.: Technical Constants in Bureaucracy and Education (Oxford: Clarendon Press 1999) and the editor, with M. Campbell-Kelly, M. Croarken and R. G. Flood, of The History of Mathematical Tables from Sumer to Spreadsheets (Oxford University Press, 2003). The Literature of Ancient Sumer, which she coauthored with J. A. Black, G. G. Cunningham and G. G. Zólyomi, is forthcoming from Oxford University Press.
