Dominic Massaro

Dominic W. Massaro is emeritus and research professor in the Departments of Psychology and Computer Engineering@the University of California, Santa Cruz, and president of Psyentific Mind, a company devoted to using behavioral science and technology to extend the range of the human mind. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Previously, he taught@the University of Wisconsin from 1970 to 1979. He is the author of, among other books, Perceiving Talking Faces: From Speech Perception to a Behavioral Principle (Cambridge, MA: MIT Press, 1998). His current interest is aimed@developing applications that immerse preschool children in writing to allow them to learn to read naturally.
