Benjamin Orlove

Benjamin S. Orlove received his Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1975. He is a professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy at the University of California, Davis, and is an adjunct senior research scientist with Columbia University’s International Research Institute for Climate Prediction. Over the past dozen years or so, Orlove has conducted field research in the Andes, Africa and Australia. His book Lines in the Water, about the people and cultural practices found around Lake Titicaca, was published by University of California Press in 2002.
