Andre Bouville

André Bouville was born in France and obtained his Ph.D. in physics@the Université Paul-Sabatier in Toulouse in 1970. He served as a consultant to the United Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation for 30 years and the International Commission on Radiological Protection for 17 years. Bouville joined the National Cancer Institute in 1984 and has since been heavily involved in the estimation of radiation doses resulting from radioactive fallout from atmospheric nuclear weapons tests and from the Chornobyl accident.
