
Anastasia Papathanasiou
Anastasia Papathanasiou, who has a doctorate in anthropology from the University of Iowa, works for the Greek Ministry of Culture at the Ephory of Speleology and Paleoanthropology of Southern Greece. She has studied human populations from more than 10 archaeological sites in Greece, including Alepotrypa, Franchthi and Theopetra Caves, as well as several Mycenaean cemeteries. Her research interests include physical anthropology, paleodietary analysis and prehistoric archaeology.
